Description

A continuation of Loki x Sigyn story, purely made for my own vanity.

As requested, a new mini story.

------
She couldn't move. Not even if it consumed her.

She could not even breath. Red filled her eyes, terror filled her heart.

Blood splattered, her clothes dotted and singed.

She gave a gasp and it turned towards her.

Blood fell on her face.

Sif was awoken by the horror of Sigyn screams. The poor woman frantically kicked out, which took a surprising amount of dexterity for Sif to make sure she didn't hurt herself. She grabbed her shoulder, shouting Sigyns name, loudly.

And Sigyn awoke in a flurry, opening her eyes to Sif's dark ones. Sif seemed awkward at that a point, not quite sure how to proceed.

"Are you okay?" Sigyn flushed with fear, tried to let go of the welled up terror in her. She gave a shiver, then finally the image seemed to pass, leaving a blurry memory of horror.

"Yes, yes forgive me." Sif raised an eyebrow.

"For what?" Sigyn tried to curl up, but her stomach was large and unseemly. Sif leaned forward to pull the blanket over her, but Sigyn shook her head. Sigyn quickly decided against sleep, and wished to walk, her back aching.

"Please no. I wish to go to the library." Sif sighed, and nodded, helping her up. Sigyn would no longer open up, and it was best to let her have her way. "Thank you Sif. I am glad you've returned safe. You are too good for me."

"No one would agree to that, Sigyn. You deserve every pleasure." Sigyn blushed, certainly feeling like a huge imposition then a helping hand.

"And the realms still stand? I can't imagine they wouldn't."

Sif gave a hearty laugh. "Yes, of course. And because I know you're curious, Thor is safe. Though I could not find him today."

Sigyn returned her good news with a relieved smile. She had grown quite fond of Thor, and all of his kind amusements to her. Countless times she found flowers from exotic places, kind, rough, notes of encouragement, and her favorite treats. Though Thor's heart was hard against Loki, he had never begrudged her a moment. She was a sister, as he never had. Even Sif had to admit it was tender.

The thought of what he would think made Sigyn's heart turn to ice. She still feared him, maybe even more so, locked beneath them. Though the All-Father's degree had been just, and she, deep inside, relieved, she knew it would not keep him away forever. He would not be pleased with Thor, she knew for sure.

The queen mother, Frigga would occasionally bring her news. However, it seemed the queen was ever careful. Pleased to have a pregnant daughter-in-law; but aware of what brought Sigyn there. And Sigyn had no desire to be anything more at the moment. This pregnancy was hard. Sleepless nights, the fretting child, like a wolf ever moving in her. The baby would quiet when he was near, but had seemed to notice the absence.

Sigyn didn't know what she felt towards him. Fear, surely, as sure as she knew she felt pity for those lost green eyes. She didn't feel anger towards him any longer, just the occasional frustration if she didn't keep her mind busy. Fortunately for that, Odin seemed ever eager to display her, as he was to hide Loki.

Asgard was lovely it's midday heat, gleaming buildings that winked the pleasure of life to her. It was normally a paradise and today was no exception, Sigyn noted as Sif escorted her to the royal library, into one of the rooms exclusively used for royals. It was a place that held no real appeal to Sif, and Sigyn could see the inner battle her friend faced.

"Dear Sif, would you be kind enough to leave me for the morning? I desire to read." Sigyn gave a kind smile, echoing the sentiment. They entered the doorless room, sunshine streaming through.

"I would not wish to leave you alone, but I admit, I do desire to practice." Sigyn turned.

"I am close enough to the healing rooms if I sense trouble." And sure enough, there are guards nearby, as the All Father wishes." She was right. Odin was terrible protective of her, and often sent guards to watch her.

Sif nodded. "Have them get me if you need anything." Sigyn walked over to a stand, a thick tomb there.

"Of course. I know I can always depend on you."
